Music extravaganza to support wildlife

in Arts

The Isle of Man Choral Society has chosen Manx Wildlife Trust as its charity beneficiary, which will benefit from its spring event at the Villa Marina in Douglas.

Several members of the Choral Society and the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra are also members of the MWT.

On April 2 at 2.30pm the society and the orchestra will perform Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise, John Rutter’s Gloria and Mascagni’s Easter Hymn from his opera Cavalleria Rusticana.

MWT chief executive Tim Graham said: ’We can’t be more amazed at the support from the Choral Society. It is a great example of the arts and environment working together, nature loves a chorus with the famous one being the dawn chorus of birdsong.’
