Island software giant Microgaming created its very own Jurassic World at a world leading gaming exhibition in London.

The Circular Road, Douglas, company was celebrating the launch of a new online game based on the blockbuster film .

Thousands of visitors attend the three day ICE Totally Gaming event in the UK capital which ends today (Thursday).

Released in the summer of 2015, Jurassic World tore on to cinema screens 22 years after the original Jurassic Park film.

It had the second-biggest worldwide opening weekend in history and is currently the fourth-highest-grossing movie of all time.

Microgaming signed a licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development in 2016 to create an online ’slot’ based on the film. This is in addition to the Jurassic Park franchise deal announced in January 2014 and resulted in the award-winning Jurassic Park online slot that roared to life in August of the same year.

The Microgaming Barat London’s Excel venue was themed, containing dinosaur eggs, mosquitoes preserved in amber, as well as the installation of a mammoth 5metres by 5 metres shark-eating Mosasaurus, a replica of the genetically modified reptile from the Late Cretaceous period, featured in the Jurassic World movie.

The new Jurassic World online ’slot’ will go live in the summer.

A spokesman said players will be able to ’relive the timeless adventure which is packed full of features, dangerous dinosaurs and daring heroes, as well as familiar clips from the film itself.’

Meanwhile, at the 10th International Gaming Awards held at the InterContinental London Park Lane on Monday Microgaming won in the category of Mobile Product.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, said: ’We are very proud to win the award for Mobile Product. We predicted that mobile would be the future of gaming back in 2004 when we created the world’s first mobile casino software, and we haven’t looked back. The platform is thriving and it is very much the future of our industry, with even more growth to come.

’It is great to receive recognition for our hard work and to be viewed by the industry as having the best mobile product out there.’
