Lord Mayor of the City of London, Andrew Parmley, visited the island as part of a push to strengthen links between the Square Mile and regional financial services hubs.
As Lord Mayor, Mr Parmley is ambassador for the City and the UK’s financial and professional services sector.
During his visit, he met Chief Minister Howard Quayle to discuss opportunities to work collaboratively on financial and professional services. And he spoke about how financial services can drive growth and prosperity.
He also met Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney at Government House.
Mr Parmley began his year in office in November last year. The Lord Mayor is head of the City of London authority. The position is unpaid and apolitical. He lives in the Mansion House for his Mayoral year.
