IT IS clear that gulls are far too successful. In a large group on the promenade today, 75 per cent were juveniles. That means six offspring for every pair. They are a big nuisance all over Peel and I have every sympathy with Joanne at Shamyr Hey and all the people whose sleep is disturbed every night by their squawking.
They should be removed from protected status and a cull organised as soon as possible.
