STEVE Collins of Southern Motorcycle Club points out that ‘everyone, including pedestrians, contributed to the damage’ (Examiner, January 18).
Perhaps so, but, it is the damage done by motorcycle riders whilst using these ‘ways’ as ‘courses’, that has created the problem we are being faced with.
He also states that, ‘people need somewhere to ride’.
Yes, I agree, but the numbers using these ways are increasing year upon year, and will continue so to do!
Inevitably, a time will come when these tracks will be of no use whatsoever, and then, other areas will be commandeered.
Thus, the problem keeps being repeated and repeated, year on year, until a resolution is achieved!
But ‘when’ and by ‘whom’?
