I’M a student at the Isle of Man College, and am not by any means using this as the common poor students’ rant, but at Lord Street car park the ticket machines do not issue change.
This would be an acceptable inconvenience if anywhere within the car park it was stated that there was no change given.
I am not just whining pointlessly – the fact is that if you buy a parking allowance ticket from Lord Street car park you had better hope you have the right change. For a ticket that covers your parking for up to four hours this will cost you £2.50. But if you only have two £2 coins then for the same time allowance you are charged £4.
My question is where does this money go and why aren’t the general public informed?
