Check out our soundslides - Maldune

WHAT Where When is proud to launch an exciting new feature.

To celebrate the diverse and thriving Manx music scene, photographer Mike Wade will be taking pictures of and recording interviews with some of the best bands and solo artists in the Island in the coming months.

He will then be putting together soundslides — photo slideshows accompanied by the band's music and interviews — which will be exclusively available in the What Where When section of our website.

For the very first soundslide, Mike went to the Creek Inn, Peel, on Saturday night to catch up with Maldune at the western launch of their new album Hated Islanders.

It is the fourth album for the band – consisting of Steve Nash (on bass and vocals), Gary Smith (guitar and vocals) and Denzil Smith (drums and percussion) — following Brand New, Energize and Hallucinated Oscillation.

Tracks include Hated Islanders, Flicker and Blind, Sambuca Sunday Afternoon and a remix of I'm On Drugs and the album was produced by Lee Morgan.

Look out for more soundslides by Mike in the months to come.

Any band or musician who wants to contact Mike can email him at mike.wade@newsiom.co.im
