AN Onchan teenager has been selected for a top international fencing tournament.
Siobhan Ives, aged 14, of Ashley Park, will be part of England Fencing's Tomorrow's Achievers team at the contest in Paris.

She has already made a name for herself in the sport by being the youngest Isle of Man team member at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships and taking seventh place in the Leon Paul junior series.

Siobhan's mum Karina said she was very proud of her daughter, who trains at the Isle of Man Fencing Club in St John's, and is a pupil at St Ninian's High School, Douglas.

Full story in this week's Isle of Man Examiner.
