TEEN Hollywood heart-throb Zac Efron caused a stir in Douglas town centre at the weekend.
A police spokesman said officers were called to Castle Street on Saturday afternoon following reports of a group of people outside a commercial premises.

'Their presence was thought to be linked to an actor involved in filming in the Island,' the spokesman said.

'No offences were committed and no police action was necessary.'

Zac, who starred in Disney's High School Musical, is in the Island filming Me and Orson Welles.

He is pictured here on set at the Gaiety Theatre – the first picture of Zac to be released from the set of the film.

Today's Vote

Is it acceptable for the DHSS to ask Tynwald to shore up a £8.5m overspend in its budget, due to increased activity at Noble’s, more patient referrals to the UK, children in care, more unemployment and expensive drugs, reduced NHI receipts?
Yes. If health chiefs have worked out this money needs to be spent then it must be found.
No. Health chiefs should be providing a top quality service without such a large overspend.
I don’t mind this time, the reasons for the overspend appear to stack up.
