Friends Provident International has been making a positive contribution to the Manx economy for almost 35 years.
As a provider of life assurance and investments to an international market, it is fitting that this year the company will be presenting the International Business of the Year award at the Isle of Man Newspapers’ Awards for Excellence.
This will be the third year that Friends Provident International has been associated with the Awards for Excellence, having previously presented a number of awards, as well as being awarded for its contribution to corporate social responsibility in 2010.
Caroline Cornish, general manager of Friends Provident International’s Isle of Man office, said: ‘Friends Provident International believes that these awards play an important part in celebrating the island’s growth.
‘It is great to see the island celebrating the hard work and success of so many different and important sectors, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to present such a highly sought after award.
‘We are very much looking forward to seeing the winners unveiled on the night and wish all entrants the best of luck.’
With market facing hubs in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai, Friends Provident International is a great representation of a well established international business. As a leading international business on the island, Friends Provident International is the perfect partner for the presentation of the International Business of the Year Award 2013.
Could your business be International Company of the Year?
This prestigious award was won last year by Isle of Man Post Office.
Its philatelic bureau has always had a worldwide customer base but the award also recognised the number of niche products and markets that have been developed.
Other previous winners of the International Company of the Year award have included law firm Appleby and manufacturing company Swagelok.
If you think your company could be a winner, you have until today (Friday) to submit your entry.
This year’s Awards Night will take place on November 21 at the Villa and will be compered by Hugh Dennis, the star of BBC television’s hit comedy, ‘Outnumbered’.
There are 16 award categories to be won, covering private sector companies, public sector and charitable organisations and individual awards, including Business Person of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
