A Peel businessman has praised Isle of Man Newspapers’ new digital marketing initiative after the Digital Kitbag team created a website for his company.

The team developed the showcase www.empire-garage.com website for Paul Craine of Empire Garage, which includes a host of new features and enables him to easily manage online listings of vehicles for sale.

He said: ‘It’s more professional looking and so much better than what we had before – and it’s easy to use. I’m not a computer expert by any means, but it’s very simple for us to add and remove cars to the listings.

‘We did have an existing website but it was a few years old and getting a bit tired. Creating the new site was a quick process, and it was painless.’

The professionally-designed, mobile-friendly websites can be built for as little as £200, and a monthly subscription as low as £25 allows unlimited changes to its content.

But website design is only part of Isle of Man Newspapers’ Digital Kitbag, which helps local businesses reach an online audience.

The team can also offer email marketing, search engine marketing and social media management services in tailored packages that are designed to meet the needs of an individual business.

Isle of Man Newspapers’ media sales consultant Stuart Owens said: ‘An effective online presence is one of the most important tools a small business can have.

‘We can help improve your search listings and make sure that your business makes the best impression.’

Free seminars on how digital marketing can grow a business take place on the first Monday of every month from 5.30pm at Publishing House in Peel Road, Douglas.
