GILLIAN Twist is making a name for herself across the island with her all-female decorating business.

No job is too big or too small for hard-working mother-of-two Gillian, 40, of Glen Vine.

She has tackled offices as well as going to homes across the island.

Now she and her cheerful and willing team of Kat Allen, Lydia Chambers and Chloe Hughes have started taking ‘before and after’ photographs of their assignments.

None of the women are afraid of getting their hands dirty as they don their overalls and go equipped to work on people’s homes.

Gillian, originally from St Helen’s in Merseyside said: ‘They are a great bunch of girls to work with.’

She says she does not encounter any problems from the island’s army of male painters and decorators as she drives her white van across the island.

Gillian revealed that even at home she does the painting and DIY jobs.

Husband Michael runs his own financial advice business and the paint brush and wallpaper hanging is strictly off limits for him.

Gillian, who has all the necessary qualifications to run her own business said: ‘I think some customers like the thought of women coming to work in their home.

‘We always find time to talk to them.’ By the end of the week she said she is usually exhausted and relaxes by going to Zumba sessions.
