Glitzy Monaco awaits Isle of Man company
THE glitzy Monaco Yacht show is the destination for a team of people from an Isle of Man company later this month.
Moore Stephens, based in Athol Street, Douglas, is hoping to drum up a lot of business from the showcase event for the world's luxury yacht trade.
Leading the team will be director Bransom Bean who said:'This really is the must attend event of the year.'
This year the company launched Moore Stephens Crew Benefits Limited MSCB), a source of niche financial products specifically aimed at Superyacht crew.
MSCB is sponsoring the Captain's Hideout at the show
It is a place where captains and crew of superyachts can go for their own special breaks and relaxation during the hectic show.
'The needs of Superyacht crew are not widely understood by most providers, including many who service other seafarers,' said Bransom.
'MSCB's aim is to be a personal one-stop financial shop for yacht crew -it's as simple as that.'
Bransom, who settled in the Island more than 20 years ago after moving here from Miami in Florida said since launching in April MSCB had enjoyed a 'terrific response.'
'So we decided that Monaco and the Captain's Hideout would be the perfect venue to meet our new Superyacht clients, contacts and crew in comfort away from the hustle and bustle of the show.'
MSCB has sourced a variety of financial products, all officially endorsed by Nautilus International, a leading nautical international trade union and professional organisation. They include:
International multi-currency bank accounts;Global (including the USA) health and accident insurance with income protection; Flexible savings plans adapted to the yacht crew career and a 24/7 helpline.
All crew who sign up for MSCB's products become crew members of "Moore Stephens Crew Club" with a dedicated website and membership card providing access to their personal 24/7 helpline.
Bransom said it was a great location to do business and also it was an opportunity for networking.
'The world of superyachts is really quite a small industry and everybody involved in it will be in Monte Carlo,' he said.
Bransom said there was always a large Isle of Man presence at Monaco.
He always felt proud to see the number of vessels registered in the Island.
He said the Isle of Man is a 'centre of excellence' in terms of managing superyachts around the world.
