The Rational Group, operators of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, has been selected as one of the best workplaces in the British Isles, including their headquarters office in King Edward Road, Onchan, for the third consecutive year.
The Great Place to Work Institute announced its annual ‘Best Workplace’ rankings for large companies , ranking Rational Group at 14th place.
It was based upon an employee survey conducted by the Institute.
The Great Place to Work Institute is the world’s largest consultancy specialising in workplace assessment and enhancement.
This is the third consecutive year that the UK and Isle of Man offices have been named to the list.
Earlier this year, Rational Group offices in Ireland and Costa Rica were also named as some of the Best Workplaces in those countries.
Michael Hazel, chief finance officer of the Rational Group said: ‘Once again, we are the only company in our industry to receive this acco lade, which speaks volumes for our desire to lead from the front.
‘We are working hard to embrace the principles of what makes a great workplace and will never stop listening to our people and acting on their feedback.’
Globally, 6,000 organisations around the world are surveyed, representing approximately 10 million employees.
On this occasion, PokerStars offices in both London and the Isle of Man were part of the analysis by The Great Place to Work Institute.
This process included surveying both employees and management to get a holistic view of the organisation’s HR policies and practices and how these are perceived by employees.

The Rational Group operates gaming and related businesses and brands including PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, the European Poker Tour, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, Latin American Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. These brands collectively form the largest poker business in the world, comprising online poker games and tournaments, live poker competitions and poker programming created for television and online audiences.
