The rate of the island’s minimum wage is being reviewed.

The Minimum Wage Committee is inviting evidence concerning changes. For adults the wage is currently £6.40.

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin MHK said: ‘The minimum wage represents an important part of government’s aim to protect the vulnerable and make work pay.’

Written submissions should be emailed, by April 25, to: dedemployment@gov.im or posted to Secretary to the Minimum Wage Committee, Nivison House, Prospect Hill, Douglas, IM1 1ET.
