Selling homes in 3D

TWO former business rivals have joined forces to make the ‘formidable’ team behind a new estate agency business called Property Wise.

Lorna Gallagher, managing director, and Tony Weston, sales and marketing director, have based the business in Village Walk, Onchan.

And the enterprising pair have introduced a new concept for clients because they can claim to be able to sell homes in 3D.

Using a special software package details of homes ‘come to life’ in 3D.

‘It’s like going on a virtual tour with a 3D floor plan,’ said Lorna.

They say the concept gives potential house-buyers a much better idea of what a place looks like before they decide whether to go ahead with a viewing.

Although most of the company’s business will be online, people can arrange to make appointments to meet the team at the new offices.

Lorna and Tony worked for rival estate agencies in the island before they joined forces.

But they and their families are all good friends.

Before coming to live in the island they and their partners had in fact been next door neighbours in Jersey.

Tony’s wife Emma was pregnant at the same time as Lorna. Emma gave birth to Leigh just three months before Lorna’s daughter Aimee came into the world. Ten years on and both girls are the best of pals. There’s a real family-based feel at the Onchan business because Lorna’s son Joe, 18, is studying IT at college and has been helping out.

Lorna’s partner Nigel Fairclough is a builder and retained fire station officer at Ramsey. He did some building work on the office.

And Tony’s wife Emma also lends a hand with some of the administrative work.
