‘At the same time, the amount and complexity of compliance and regulatory law which is impacting regulated (and increasingly non-regulated) businesses is expanding at pace.
‘DQ has been at the forefront of advising clients on complex regulatory and compliance matters for many years, including conducting the very first contested appeal hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal under the Financial Services Act.
‘The upward curve we are seeing in both international tax investigations and regulatory and compliance work (including Bribery Act advice) requires us to expand the team with the best specialists in the industry.
I am thrilled that Sinead, who I have known personally for almost 20 years, has agreed to join DQ and head up our Regulatory & Compliance Services team.
‘Sinead is rightly acknowledged by clients as one of the leading regulatory and compliance advisors in the Isle of Man. I look forward to working closely with Sinead as we expand this important practice area in the years to come.’
Sinead said: ‘I am delighted to have joined DQ and look forward to working with a team of experienced professionals highly regarded in the Isle of Man financial services community and who are passionate about delivering high quality advice and assistance to their clients.
‘I am excited about the opportunity to lead DQ’s expanding Regulatory & Compliance Services team and to build on the success DQ has had to date in this specialist area. We are well placed to provide our clients with practical and commercial assistance as they face the challenge of regulatory compliance and the increasingly significant burden this places on business.’
