Twenty-seven jobs secured in IT company

A LOCAL businessman has bought the Manx branch of an IT company and secured 27 jobs.

Iain Fairbairn, owner of the Armstrong Group of companies, has bought 2e2 (IOM) Ltd after 2e2 UK went into administration.

The business, which employs 27 people, has been sold as a going concern.

Jonathan Camfield, the managing director, said: ‘Iain is committed to ensure we continue to grow while providing high levels of service to our existing and new clients.’

From Monday, the business will change its name to Argon Technologies Limited.

Mr Camfield added: ‘We are delighted to return to being a locally-owned and managed business and would like to take the opportunity to say a big thank-you to our valued customers for supporting us over the last 30 years and we look forward to continuing to work with you in this new, exciting chapter of our business on the island.’
