A Douglas woman is appealing for support for a raffle next week in memory of her son.

We reported previously how Chelsea Robson, 18, of Willaston, will have her head shaved on June 10 in Douglas’ Strand Shopping Centre.

Her son, Kai John Robson-McKellar, died from cot death last year and Chelsea will have her head shaved at 2.29pm the exact time that he died.

Her mother Lisa Christian has also organised a raffle on the day and all the money raised from the event will go to The Lullaby Trust charity.

Chelsea’s uncle, Wayne Hay, who works at Manx Gas, will now be joining her in the sponsored head shave.

Her mother Lisa Christian, who is organising the raffle, said: ‘We have some amazing prizes already, and it’s going really well, but any little boost would help, so we’d just like to remind people and businesses if they want to donate a prize or buy raffle tickets, to get in touch.

‘My brother Wayne will now be having his head shaved as well, he has got a lot of sponsorship from his work colleagues.’

Lisa thanked Ron Smiths Hairdressing who will be providing their services for free on the day.

If you would like to buy raffle tickets or donate a prize contact Lisa Christian on 665300 or 234522.
