Teen pop sensations EverYoung wowed their adoring fans when they chose the island to launch their debut single at the weekend.
EverYoung’s Cherelle, Hollie, Eyal and Jack met fans and signed copies of their new single at HMV in Douglas before performing ‘You Got Me’ live on stage outside the Strand Shopping Centre.
The group first caused a sensation in the island in December last year when they performed at the Junior Achievement Isle of Man concert at the Villa Marina in Douglas and visited two island high schools as well as carrying out a signing session in the Strand Shopping Centre.
They now have more than 30,000 followers on Facebook.
EverYoung, who are signed to EMI, selected the Isle of Man to launch their single and came over from Liverpool on Sunday as part of their UK tour.
Eighteen-year-olds Eyal and Jack, and Cherelle and Hollie, both 19, met at school and have spent the last two years performing at schools, clubs and theatres around the country and writing their debut album.
Their first TV appearance was on Live with Fern Britton on Channel Five and they have been interviewed on numerous local radio stations.
A local Manx team worked hard to get EverYoung over for the signing and for the stage to be put up for the performance.
Strand Shopping Shopping centre manager John Shakespeare said: ‘The idea of doing the launch here was only signed off the previous week so we were battling against time.’
