THREE volunteers from Peel lifeboat station received awards at a ceremony held at the Isle of Man Yacht Club for their services to the institution.

Adrienne Teare received the top award of a Gold badge from Colin Williams, divisional inspector for her work over many years with the Peel Ladies Lifeboat Guild.

Francis Watterson received a Bronze award also for her services to the Ladies Guild.

Malcolm Kelly received a Bronze award for his services to the branch as lifeboat press officer and also as a past chairman.

Colin Williams thanked all three for their work as did Adele Fuller, area fundraising manger.

As the RNLI is a totally voluntary service these awards are the only recognition volunteers receive for their work.
