RAMSEY Rotary Club held a successful fundraising evening of magic at the Masonic Hall on Lezayre Road, with a sell-out crowd helping to raise £671 for the Rotary International Foundation, and the Magicians of Mann, who performed on the night.

The cross-generational audience lapped up the displays of tricks and illusions with good humour, as no less than nine magicians each performed a 10-minute set.

Member of both the Magicians of Mann and Ramsey Rotary Club Keith Greenland said the idea was to bring some live entertainment to the town and thanked his fellow magicians, the staff at the Masonic Hall and Ann Thompson for their help in organising the evening.

Compared by Bev Michelson, the calibre of the show’s line-up was high, containing many members of the exclusive Magic Circle, and the skills of professional Colin Boardman who closed the show.
