Peel Carnival takes place on Sunday.

There will be music, as well as creative performance, such as circus acts and street theatre from the Play People.

The sandcastle competition starts at 10am with judging at 11.30am, at noon the street entertainment will start and at 1.30pm there will be a Punch ‘n’ Judy show on the beach (opposite the Marine Hotel).

The parade will start at 2pm from East Quay and will travel along the promenade to the Creg Malin.

Stunt performers The Purple Helmets will be giving a show at the Creg Malin car park at 4pm.

In the evening there will be an open mic from 6pm at the harbour-end of the promenade, which is the build up to the final show of the day, which will involve the group PanFire playing on the beach at 9.30pm with a fire show being performed by jugglers.

The day will finish with a fireworks display at 10pm.
