RAMSEY Town Band are gearing up for their biggest night of the year, their annual Subscription Concert at Auldyn School on November 25.

Special guest soloist for this year’s show is Owen Farr, reportedly one of the finest tenor horn players in the British Isles.

He is also a tutor with the National Youth Brass Band, where he met and worked with some of Ramsey’s young brass prodigy’s during the summer.

It is hoped to get Mr Farr in for sessions in schools and for private lessons during his visit, as well as rehearsing with the band to put together the show.

Tickets are £10, available by calling Alison Burton on 815580.

The band, who performed as part of Ramsey’s Remembrance Day services, will next appear at the switching on of the town’s Christmas lights on Friday evening.
