PEEL Youth Club’s pyjamas and pancakes afternoon proved popular.
This event for all the family was held on Shrove Tuesday and was followed in the evening with pancake fun for teenagers.
Dave Hattersley, youth officer for the south and west, said of the pyjamas and pancakes afternoon: ‘It was open to anyone in the community. It was chocker block.
‘At least 50 came from babies, to teenagers, to parents, to commissioners, to policemen.’
They all enjoyed this half-term fun at the youth club in Shore Road, tucking into pancakes and home-baking.
Mr Hattersley explained that the youth club puts on community events from time to time; another one is planned for Easter.
