The quality of childcare providers working in schools and nurseries has been recognised with the presentation of Manx Quality Awards.

Isle of Man College is working with providers to quality assure childcare provision and offers two awards.

The Manx Step into Quality Award (MSQA) is for settings developing quality assurance approaches and the Manx Quality Award (MQA) is a two-year process that sees settings identify in detail how they deliver the highest quality of care. The MQA was awarded to The Ark Community Nursery and Butterflies Day Nursery.

Victoria House Nursery was awarded Year One. Ashley Hill School Reception and Year One are rejoining.

The MSQA was awarded to Jurby Pre-school Nursery (The Children’s Centre) and Scoill Vallajeelt Reception.

The Children’s Centre’s early years provision in Woodbourne Road and Park Road, Ramsey Stepping Stones Nursery and Ashley Hill School Reception and Year One were identified as working to the MSQA for another 12 months.

Cronk Y Berry School Reception and Hopes and Dreams settings in Buchan School, Woodbourne Road and Parklands Nursery have started it.
