Pupils go for goal

.

.

A World Cup themed sports day was held at Kewaigue School.

The event on the school’s playing field last week saw children of all ages take part in eight activities testing a range of ball skills.

As well as trying to score goals in both football and netball, the activities saw the pupils practise their ball control by dribbling a hockey ball around cones, throw and catch rugby balls, and running while balancing a tennis ball on their racket.

The children took part as a member of eight different teams of mixed age groups.

Some of the children had really taken the World Cup theme on board – they wore hand-decorated Brazil 2014 headbands.
