ANECDOTAL evidence suggests that one in 70 Manx school children suffers from autism.
One of Action4Autism’s aims is to guide parents of children through the uncertainty and confusion often found when their child is diagnosed.
That is why the group is running a free two-day course on March 22 and 23 for parents of newly diagnosed children.
The course is hosted by experienced trainer Barry Cooper, manager of the help programme for the National Autistic Society.
Sessions include autism spectrum disorders, tips for communication, interaction, practical strategies for education, eduction rights/law and sources of help
