An outreach programme offering pioneering treatment for children and adults with learning and sensory difficulties is scheduled to take place this summer.
Manx Mencap is again sponsoring specialists from The Sound Learning Centre, in London, to return to the island to provide its 10-day programme of sound and light therapies.
It will be based at Centre 21, in Greenfield Road, Douglas, from July 28 for about two to three weeks.
Ahead of the visit, principal Pauline Allen will be visiting the island from May 7 to carry out individual assessments.
Pauline said: ‘We are delighted that once again we have been invited to provide our therapies for another Mencap Outreach Programme.’
Staff aim to get behind labels such as autism and Asperger’s to find the cause of sensory problems such as balance or sensory processing.
