60 tyres dumped near Conrhenny Plantation

AROUND 60 car tyres were dumped in two piles in road side ditches in Conrhenny Road, adjacent to Conrhenny Plantation, on the outskirts of Onchan.

Police were informed on Monday and it appears that the items hadn’t been there for long. Police say a large vehicle would have been needed to carry this amount of tyres.

Constable Ben Horan said: ‘The police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have seen the incident, or seen anybody in the area acting suspiciously in the week or two leading up to the discovery.’

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 631212.
