UK Amnesty International officials will visit the island on Tynwald Day as guests of the Isle of Man group.
The North West Region organisers will join their Manx colleagues in the One World Centre ‘Global Village’, based in the Arboretum.
While here, the Amnesty organisers will compare notes with their Manx colleagues on various current campaigns, as well as lending a hand with campaigning on the day.
They also expect to meet activists from local campaign groups and charities concerned with the developing world, and Manx politicians with human rights concerns.
Stuart Hartill, from the Isle of Man Amnesty group, said: ‘UK groups are fascinated that a group with a “target audience” the size of an English market town must appeal directly to a nation’s conscience.’
