Beach Buddies is holding a week of events to make the Isle of Man look at its best for the TT.
Founder of the newly-registered charity Bill Dale said: ‘Everyone is invited to join in – we provide the equipment and get rid of the rubbish afterwards and recycle whatever we can.
‘It’s good fun, families are welcome and it takes no more than an hour.
‘It’s an easy way to make a difference, and make new friends at the same time.
‘Please come along a join in. Follow us on Facebook – Beach Buddies Isle of Man – or register for news updates by email at email@example.com’
The first event took place yesterday evening in Braddan.
Tonight the group will tackle the Southern 100 course. Anyone wishing to get involved should meet at the Southern 100 headquarters at 2pm.
Tomorrow, the group’s attention shifts to the north and Ramsey promenade. Volunteers should meet at the slipway opposite Ramsey Rugby Club at 6pm.
Niarbyl and the White Beach will be the focus of attention on Thursday evening, with people asked to meet at Niarbyl car park at 6pm.
And on Friday, Port Erin and promenade will be tidied up – meet alongside the lifeboat station at 6pm.
