Among the official guests attending next month’s Tynwald Day celebrations will be Lord Stephen Green, accompanied by Lady Green.
He has been group chief executive and chairman of HSBC and was made a minister for trade and investment in the UK government in 2010.
Lord Green is also an ordained Christian minister. He will be the speaker at a breakfast meeting at the Palace Hotel at 7.30am on Saturday, July 6. He will refer under the title ‘Serving God; Serving Mammon’ to some of the tensions in his life and work.
This will be the 10th in a series of annual breakfasts organised by an interdenominational group of Christians.
The admission fee is £12 and prior booking is essential to email@example.com or by phone 622238.
