The scene at Port Jack on Friday

This was the scene after the wooden awning of the parade of shops at Port Jack was damaged in a multiple collision.

Emergency services were called just after 10.40am on Friday following a three-vehicle collision involving a saloon car, a Peugeot hatchback and a van. Two pillars of the awning were damaged.

Fortunately no one was injured. The road behind Port Jack Chippy between Royal Terrace and Royal Avenue was blocked for a time. Onchan Commissioners were contacted to survey the damage. Inquiries are continuing into the cause of the collision.
