Castletown beach clean this weekend
A BEACH clean meant to take place last weekend in Castletown will be held this Sunday (November 4) instead.
Beach Buddies founder Bill Dale explained the weather last Sunday was ‘awful’, adding: ‘But rather than have a half-hearted one, we decided to postpone it.’
He said they need all the volunteers they can get as there’s a lot of rubbish on the beach. Beach Buddies will meet at 10.30am at the car park just past Hango Hill, and the clean will take about one hour. Organisers will provide gloves, bin bags and litter pickers, but volunteers may wish to bring their own gloves and will need good footwear.
