Crews from The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service cut free a casualty from a vehicle following a multi vehicle collision in Crosby.
It happened at around 1pm yesterday in Main Road.
Douglas Fire Station crews were called to the scene after a report of a female trapped by her injuries in a vehicle. Police and ambulance services also attended. To safely remove the casualty the vehicle’s roof was removed.
After the casualty had been stablised the fire crews used hydaulic cutters and spreaders as well as electric saws to remove the vehicle’s roof. The casualty was removed on a stretcher and transferred to a waiting ambulance.
There is no further update at this time on the person’s condition.
