Charity box theft from two shops

Have your say

TWO charity boxes have been stolen from shops in Ramsey.

They were taken between Monday and Wednesday this week.

One was from Walter’s the joke shop on the quay. The money had been intended to go to the Manx Blind Welfare Society

Nobody – apart from the thief – knows how much was in the box.

The other was from a shop in Parliament Street which did not want to be identified. The proceeds were intended for Manx Mencap.

‘We suspect the two are linked because of the timescale,’ Sergeant Andy Kneen said.
