AN emergency road closure has been put in place in Port Erin following a gas leak in the Four Roads roundabout area.
Castletown Road between Four Roads and Ballafesson Road will be one-way into the town until further notice.
Drivers leaving Port Erin are being be diverted along Ballafesson Road.
The leak has now been fixed, however workers won’t be able to lay Tarmac on the patch of road until the morning.
This means the road will remain one-way overnight and Manx Gas hopes to re-open the outbound lane by lunchtime tomorrow.
A spokesperson for Manx Gas said: ‘We advise motorists to use another route if possible. We appologise for any inconvenience caused and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible to reduce disruption.’
