Age is no barrier at Laser-Mayhem.

Erwin Gelling, aged 79, has taken the title of the oldest person to play the standard 2.5 hour session at the purpose built battlefield at South Barrule Park.

Erwin teamed up with daughter Tracey and took on grandson Sam. After 2.5 hours of missions the teams were tied.

It was down to Erwin as red team’s sniper to take on the blue team sniper for the decider, ‘Quick Draw McGraw’.

With both snipers back-to-back at 30m it was all down to speed, calmness and accuracy. On a countdown from 10 to zero, both snipers turned aim and fire.

In the excitement they both initially missed their targets and had to reload, but it was Erwin who was able to hold his nerve and find the target first.
