A Facebook page dedicated to Alexis French had racked up more than 2,200 ‘likes’.
The page, called RIP beautiful Alexis French tells readers: ‘Alexis French was tragically taken in a freak accident, she leaves behind her loving family and many friends who are all devastated. This page has been created to share happy memories of Alexis.
‘This little girl will be forever in our thoughts..’
One post from Alice Gordon reads: ‘I will never forget you, Alexis, this couldn’t have happened to a nicer person and of such a young age. Thinking of all your family and hope you all have a full recovery! Xxx’
Another says: ‘We will be thinking of all the friends and teachers of Alexis’ school today. Help and support will be offered to both the pupils and teachers. Stay strong.’
A message appeared on Wednesday responding to the posts and saying: ‘Thank you for all the kind words, posts and messages regarding Alexis, Her mum is finding them very comforting at this heartbreaking time.’
