Buses were diverted off a section of the newly relaid Peel Road, in Doulgas, this morning after it was closed when heavy overnight rain caused flooding.
Route 5, 6, and 22 buses were diverted at Pulrose Bridge and past the NSC to avoid waterlogging on the section of Peel Road from the Isle of Man Newspapers office to Quarterbridge.
It’s the latest problem to hit the £4.3m scheme, which was designed in part to reduce the frequency of flooding on the carriageway.
The scheme has only just been completed after over a year of disruption to motorists and businesses.
The road has re-opened.
