A pair of friends attempting to cycle to all 111 gold post boxes across the British Isles are set to reach Onchan on Saturday.

The post boxes were painted during the 2012 Olympics to signify the home town of a British gold medallist. Onchan’s Peter Kennaugh was part of the four-man cycling pursuit team which broke the world record.

Chris Britton of Bristol and Lucas Meagor of Kingston upon Hull are raising money for Sport Relief, Paralympics GB and Tree of Hope.

They hope to be in Onchan at around 10pm.
