Henderson hit in the pocket after he’s sacked

editorial image

BILL Henderson MHK has been hit hard in the pocket after he was sacked from his role in the Treasury.

Today’s Isle of Man Examiner leads on the story. Allan Bell and Eddie Teare deny they were punishing dissent.

Among the other big stories in the paper is the latest on the bus dispute, plus news on trials of bendy buses.

We also talk to the Beehive children’s nursery in Onchan after the local commissioners criticised it.

Meanwhile, we report more on the proposal to create an ICT university at the Castle Mona Hotel. The taxpayer is being asked to guarantee it.

We look forward to the TT inside the paper. It looks as though it might be a bumper one if early indications regarding visitor numbers are right.

Sport looks at the forthcoming Island Games. It’ll be in Bermuda and it looks as though the Isle of Man will field a much smaller number of competitors than it has in the past.

The Isle of Man Examiner is in the shops now.
