Inquest into MGP visitor's death on Round Table

AN inquest into the death of an MGP visitor who died in a three-vehicle crash will be opened and adjourned on Monday.

Melvin Arthur Unwin, aged 69, from Swavesey in Cambridgeshire, died after his motorbike was in a crash with a car and another bike, ridden by his male friend, also from the UK.

It happened at about 11.47am on Saturday on the A36 Foxdale to Ballakillowey Road, near the Round Table crossroads.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, coroner of inquests Alastair Montgomerie will open and adjourn an inquest into the death of George Stephen Crowe on Monday.

Mr Crowe, aged 52, was found dead at an address in Laxey by police at about 1pm last Thursday (August 26).

Police said it was not being treated as suspicious.
