A total of 250 riders – on about 200 scooters – will be coming to the island for a rally this weekend.
It will be the fifth time that event organiser Barry Turner, from The Wirral, will have organised the Isle of Man Scooter Rally.
Riders will be visiting the island, from Friday to Sunday, from across the UK and as far afield as Paris.
There will be a ride-out from the TT Grandstand, in Douglas, on Saturday, leaving at midday, with support from the Isle of Man Scooter Club.
They will go along the coast road to Ramsey before heading back over the mountain and on to the Cat With No Tail in Douglas for a barbecue and custom show judging.
Mr Turner said: ‘We’re really looking forward to it. We are just hoping and praying we get a nice day on the Saturday for the ride.
‘It’s pretty spectacular coming over the mountain.’
Entertainment will be at the Crescent in Douglas each night, and on Saturday UK band Cheeky Monkey will perform.
The visitors will be staying in hotels in Douglas – and some are camping.
