Celebrate the launch of author Chris Ewan’s latest novel, Dead Line, at an event tonight (Thursday).
Chris, who lives in Douglas, will be joined in conversation by Jake Kerridge, The Telegraph’s crime fiction reviewer, and fellow bestselling Faber crime author Stav Sherez, who was also shortlisted for this year’s Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award.
The event takes place at the Embassy Room at the British, in North Quay, Douglas. Doors open at 6pm.
Tickets (£3) are available from the Lexicon Bookshop, in Strand Street, Douglas.
Dead Line is a standalone thriller which follows on from the hugely successful Safe House.
Unlike Safe House, which was set in the Isle of Man, Dead Line is set in Marseilles.
It tells the story of Daniel Trent, an expert in hostage negotiation. He must negotiate the release from kidnapping of the man he believes is responsible for the disappearance of his fiancée.
It was published in the British Isles last month by Faber and Faber, and will be published in the USA by St Martin’s Press in spring 2014.
