Lifeboats alerted after four anglers get into difficulty

A fishing boat that ran aground sparked a lifeboats alert in the south of the island today. (Sunday)

Port St Mary’s all-weather lifeboat and her inshore vessel along with Port Erin’s lifeboat were called out shortly before 10 am.

Four anglers in a small boat got into difficulty off Langness and ended up on the rocks.

All of the men made it ashore safely but it is understood one man received minor injuries.
