Lifeboats called out

Have your say

PORT St Mary and Douglas lifeboats were both called out this evening (Sunday) after a vessel broke down off the east coast of the island.

The vessel's crew was unsure of its location so both lifeboats were called out to help.

Initially believed to be near Spanish Head, the vessel was located near the Laxey coastline and escorted into harbour.

No one was hurt in the incident.
