FANCY having your lunch while listening to a choir?

The Friday Lunchtime Choir will be performing a short concert at the Salvation Army Citadel, in Lord Street, Douglas, at 1.30pm on May 20.

The choir, which was set up two years ago, meets on Friday lunchtimes during term-time for half an hour’s vocal training and to learn choral music of different styles.

The community choir is conducted by Maggie Richardson. She said: ‘We never have everyone at the same time because of work and other commitments but we do have about 50 singers each week, including many who have been with us since the outset, which is wonderful.’
