Man cut from car at Hope

FIRE fighters had to cut an injured man out of a car after a traffic collision on the Archallagan Road near The Hope crossroads, Lower Foxdale, on Saturday evening.

Fire crews from Peel and Douglas were called to the incident, which involved just one car, at about 7.45pm.

They used hydraulic cutting gear to release the man who had suffered facial and suspected neck and back injuries.

He was then taken to Noble’s Hospital by paramedics. There were no other casualties.

The fire fighters also used first aid equipment, hand tools, fire fighting media and lighting equipment during the 45 minutes they were on the scene.
